I am a HUGE fan of Tijan, I think I have said this before, but will say it again. I LOVE EVERYTHING that she has written. I even go to her website read the WIP’s that are posted. I always find myself picking up one of the books to read again.

I received an Arc for for a honest review. It took me a while to put this out. This book affected me mentally and emotionally.

MY THOUGHTS

After reading Ryan’s Bed I felt completely gutted. I was gripped with so many different emotions. WOW… The book is so relevant and an important topic that is rarely discussed.

At first I felt that I couldn’t write my review, but then I grabbed my phone and jotted down all the emotions that were careening through me.

Mackenzie has just lost a love one. She is trying to find the best way to grieve. Each of us struggle with how we grieve but the grieving process was worst for Mackenzie because of the dark secret that she was keeping.I like how Tijan showed the different type of grieving process people go through Ryan used basketball to help him through his grieving process, while Mackenzie uses Ryan.

Ryan and Mackenzie bonded because they were two tattered souls. Ryan recognized something in Mackenzie, that he also felt within himself. LONELINESS, SENSE OF LOST….

Mackenzie’s parents, how they make me yell…. YELL!!!… I was so ANGRY!!!

The book is great, I expected nothing less. I don’t like to give a lot of the story away. I want you to read and be as embedded as I was.  I can tell you that this book made me laugh, cry (so many times I cry), angry, confused ( in a good way). There was a lot of sadness.

The ending I didn’t see coming, it blew me away. WHATTT!!!!. I was SURPRISED, then I CRIED, then I felt DESOLATE.

So many people go through this darkness all alone. They put on a brave face on the outside for everyone; while emotional they are being ripped apart on the inside. This constant cloud of sadness that doesn’t dissipate.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK.

My Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
